I’m proud to have been part of this recording project by my good friend and musical colleague Carmen Staaf. This trio, including Carmen Staaf (piano), Austin McMahon (drums), and myself has developed a close rapport over years of collaboration and friendship. The connection I have with these musicians is a rare gift, which I cherish and hope to enjoy for many years to come. All but two of these tracks were recorded live at Tula’s Jazz Club as part of Seattle’s 2010 Earshot Jazz Festival. The album is released on the Fractamodi music label.
